we stayed at the Thunderbird inn and we loved the retro feel of the place, from the Moon Pies and RC Colas in our room to the amazing donuts in the morning. The location was ideal, and the staff were absolutely delightful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the facility had a retro vibe. The bed was VERY comfortable with plenty of comfortable pillows, and the facility was updated. It was also walking distance to the best that downtown has to offer.
Nothing not to love 😊

The staff was welcoming and nice, took good care of everyone. It was huge, retro and on the top level.
The staff - some of them were quite noisy.

Unbeatable and magnificent location, short walk from Savannah History Museum. Great restaurant, for dinner.

Airy & modern room, coffee and a carpet in there. The views over city. Favourable ideal location, to historical sites. Right by river walk and the shopping district and the water front and all the bars, restaurants and stores.

The Thunderbird Inn in Savannah impressed me with its convenient location in the historic downtown area, just a short walk from City Market and SCAD Museum of Art. The rooms were recently updated with modern amenities, including a desk and iron for a stress-free stay, and clean bathrooms with designer toiletries.
The lackluster cleanliness of the rooms, with worn carpets and chipped furniture. I noticed some staff not adhering to the city's mask mandate, which could make unvaccinated guests uncomfortable.

The professional and well-trained staff with great attitude to guests. Great food for all meals.

Neat room with amazingly comfortable king size beds, good offer. Very central location, excellent base for discovering Savannah. Picturesque area short walk to including hop on hop off.

I recently had the most delightful stay at the Thunderbird Inn in Savannah. The retro theme and vintage-inspired decor throughout the hotel brought back wonderful memories of my younger days. The 60s era music playing in the background added a sense of nostalgia and joy to my stay. It was so refreshing to see such thoughtful design details that catered to senior guests like myself, making it easy to navigate and enjoy the hotel's general areas.

The units were neat with wooden floors.

As a frequent traveler, I often find myself in need of a convenient stopover during my journeys. The Thunderbird Inn in Savannah was exactly that - conveniently located just 20km away from Savannah/Hilton Head International, making it an ideal choice for a transit stay. the pet-friendly policy was a huge plus, allowing me to bring my furry companion along for the trip without any hassle.
I must mention that the thin walls were quite a downside to an otherwise pleasant stay. The lack of soundproofing meant that I could easily hear my neighbor's conversations and his unfortunate cough throughout the night, which was a bit disruptive.

My stay was excellent of a value. The room was neat and airy with cute throwback vintage touch and modern features, as example, could leave my car close to the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the bright decor of the room.

Colorful and fairly clean place overall with marvellous location in walking distance from the historic district. Friendly check-in, new-fashioned and beautifully designed room with modern features and a nice clean bathroom, as example.

Well-kept venue, perfect location adjacent to the visitor center where most of the city and area tours are located, the Riverside and park per day, liked our stay. The check in was easy, the staff was competent.
TBH, the room was kind of small, we expected better.

Loved our room that was only cleaned inc towels & toilet roll on request and available with an oversized CLEAN bed, cute throwback vintage touch and modern features.
